The Olds Grizzlys Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is currently seeking an individual to fill the position of Business Operations Manager.  This position is full time with an approximate starting date of June 1, 2012.

The Business Operations Manager will work with, and be responsible to, the board of directors while managing the business operations of the Olds Grizzlys.  Responsibilities include: management of the overall budget and cash flow, and responsibility for all revenue generation including marketing sales and fund raising events.  Further duties include coordination of game day activities, management of volunteers, and community relations, and management of the business office.  In addition, you will work in conjunction with the coaching staff to manage events such as hockey tournaments, hockey schools, and tryout camps.

Qualifications should include:   Budget and management/administrative skills· Marketing and fund raising skills·  Experience in the administration of sports teams or related employment·  Demonstrated organizational, communication and computer skills.  The individual should be community minded who meets well with the public.  Hockey experience is an asset but not essential.

The Olds Grizzlys Junior ‘A’ Hockey Club is a member of the 16 team Alberta Junior Hockey League and were the 1994 Canadian Junior ‘A’ National Champions.  The Grizzlys have a long history of successful operation as a community owned non-profit society.

Due to a power outage in all of Okotoks the Olds Grizzlys 5th game against Okotoks Oilers had to be postponed until Wednesday.  If you werent able to make the FAN BUS Tuesday, you can make it TODAY!! Give Jill or Tammy a call at the Grizzlys office at 403-556-1121 to book your seat on the FAN BUS today!!!  Bus leaves at 5:00, cost is $20.00 for the seat on the bus and $15.00 for the ticket into the game.  Cheering LOUD is FREE!!!!!! Bring your noise makers, bring your  voice and lets win this game and send the Oilers to the golf course!
