The Olds Grizzlys have done it again and are now ahead 3 games to 1, after suffering a loss on Friday night,  with the Okotoks Oilers.  The next game is Tuesday night in Okotoks, puck drop is at 7:00.  Get on down to Okotoks Tuesday night and cheer on the Olds Grizzlys so they can knock the Oilers out of the Playoffs! 

Olds Grizzlys faced Okotoks Oilers again tonight in Okotoks and won 3 to 2!

A big THANK YOU to the Royal Canadian Legion for providing the Legion Van to Okotoks for the second playoff game!

This is a seven game series, so come on down to the Olds Sportsplex this FRIDAY and SATURDAY to make it a four game series!!!!  Bring your noise makers, bring your friends, lets be loud and proud and cheer these hard working 15 to 20 year old hockey players into two more wins and onto the next team!!!!!  Puck drop is 7:30 Both nights.  Come early and see the awesome NEW  intro!!!

The Alberta Junior Hockey League announced today the schedule for the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup Playoff Series between the Calgary Mustangs and the Olds Grizzlys of the South Division. The Round One series will begin in Calgary on Thursday, February 23rd and will officially kick off the 2012 AJHL Playoffs.

The top seven teams in each division qualify for the 2012 AJHL Playoffs. The first place team in each division will receive a bye during the First Round Divisional Playoffs. The Brooks Bandits have captured the South Division, while the Spruce Grove Saints are the winners of the North Division.

All series in Round One are best-of-five with the highest ranked seed awarded home ice advantage. The teams will playoff as follows: 2nd versus 7th place, 3rd versus 6th place, and 4th versus 5th place.

The Calgary Mustangs completed the 2011-2012 regular season with 69 points and 4th in the South Division. The Olds Grizzlys earned 49 points in the regular season for a 5th place finish. Head to head statistics for all games between the Mustangs and Grizzlys are available on the AJHL website. The Mustangs won the regular season series with a 4-2 record over the Grizzlys.

The opening round of the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup Playoffs will commence on February 23rd. The 2012 AJHL Playoff Schedule is available on the AJHL website www.AJHL.ca. Each division will playoff to determine a divisional champion at the conclusion of Round Three in the 2012 AJHL Playoffs. The North Division Champion and the South Division Champion will then compete in the League Final for the 2012 AJHL Enerflex Cup.
